Comparative analysis of placental collagenous masks (napkins) made by Plazan and Placenta laboratories inc.

Any mask has two components: a base and an active component.  Both natural components and chemically synthesized ones can serve as base. Masks of vegetative components (oatmeal, cucumbers, yeast, bran, etc.) are very popular. There are also a lot of cream masks. Recently as a material for applicator the napkins containing natural and synthetic tissues are used. In this relation the composition of a placental collagen mask Plazan (film) is unique. The base of the given mask-film consists of protein of the amniotic membrane of human placenta, i.e. elastin and collagen. Masks of the Japanese production Placenta laboratories inc. consist of the special material used for treatment of burns.

The placental collagen mask (napkin) Plazan similar to a Japanese sample consists of thermal-bounded cloths for hygienic purpose of polyester fibers having increased softness, hardness and "fuzziness". The polyester fibers do not bind an active component and promote a more complete transferring from a tissue into the skin surfaces.

But activity of masks is determined not by the base, which plays a role of the carrier, but impregnation of an active component. So, Placenta laboratories inc. specifies, that in composition of impregnation of masks they use placental proteins and hyaluronic acid of human placenta are used. In this connection we carried out comparative studying of quantity of the indicated components, the results of analyses are given in Table 9.

As it is seen from the table, the mask Plazan contains in 4,33 times more than protein components. Protein of a placenta are the basic stimulants of activity of a mask, their presence provides anti-inflammatory properties of masks, activation of respiration and circulation of peripheral blood, prevents xanthopathy and, the most important, reduces surface layers of the dermis. The increased contents of peptides improves a diet of the skin cells amino acids (in variant of Plazan it is amino acids of elastin and collagen).

In a mask Plazan higher contents of enzymes which as is known, have the protein nature is marked also. So, activity of alkaline phosphatase catalyzes hydrolytic decomposition of phosphoric ethers. The given activity is very important at a maceration of tissues, their rejuvenation. The increased contents of enzyme promote cleansing of epidermis of the skin and prevent pigmentation.

The contents it is glycosaminoglycans in masks determines their ability to smooth wrinkles and to hydrate the skin, attaching it elasticity, turgor and force of youth. And on these indexes the mask Plazan confidently is in the lead in comparison with the Japanese analogue. So, the index cooperative is glycosaminoglycans of placenta of the mask Plazan above in 1,7 times. Hyaluronic acid in our mask contains 1,59 times more, chondroitinsulfate - in 2,02 times, and heparansulfate - in 1,87 times. There is no necessity to prove, that at such indexes the mask Plazan absolutely surpasses on indexes of erasion of wrinkles, even deep.

Having studied biochemical composition of components of masks, we shall carry out estimation of their nutritious properties. The glucose is the most valuable nutritious component, which has high energetics and participates practically in all power cycles of metabolism. Its quantity in a mask Plazan is in 10 times more than in analogue of Japanese production. The analysis was made and on the contents of free calcium, phosphorus and a potassium. According to biochemical researches, calcium in a mask Plazan contains in 13,5 times, and potassium - in 1,46 times is more. Calcium plays the important role in formation of intercellular structures and giving hardness to them, and the potassium is the agent participating during a permeability of cellular membranes and removing from cells of collected products of vital activity. As to free phosphorus the mask of the Japanese production contains its in 2,05 times more. This element is important in cycles of a biosynthesis of protein and nucleic acids. It is a unique index on which the mask Plazan concedes to analogue of the Japanese production.

At the same time, the analysis of the contents of active components brightly testifies that the mask of a series Plazan considerably surpasses analogue of Japanese production on practically all indexes and is more efficient agent in the decision of a lot of cosmetic tasks. It its phenomenal activity which is visible after the first application even to the naked eye in comparison with the best analogues of the world level.
